Young Sheldon Stars Reunite After Their Characters Missed Out On A Finale Goodbye

After Young Sheldon fails to give them a proper goodbye, a couple of cast members come together for an adorable reunion. Considering everything that it had to do, Chuck Lorre and his team were able to stage an emotionally satisfying Young Sheldon finale that ended the Coopers’ collective story in Texas while also transitioning Sheldon to his new life in California. Still, because of the limited screen time, there were certain things that it wasn’t able to do. Some of them can be easily fixed in the upcoming Georgie And Mandy’s FIrst Marriage, while others may never be addressed.

Annie Potts and Iain Armitage’s recent reunion after Young Sheldon failed to give Sheldon and Meemaw a proper goodbye is a reminder of that. Check out the adorable image below from Potts’ Instagram

In the image, Potts and Armitage are seen hanging out. This is the first time that they have been spotted publicly since Young Sheldon ended. Despite Potts hosting a finale watch party, Armitage unfortunately wasn’t able to join the rest of the cast.

Will Armitage’s Sheldon and Potts’ Meemaw Ever Reunite Again On TV After Young Sheldon?

Georgie And Mandy’s First Marriage Can Bring Them Back But They May Not Be Together

Despite not technically being a part of the core Cooper family, Connie Tucker was an integral member of Young Sheldon. Mary’s mother had been a great support system throughout their time in Medford. She initially had a contentious relationship with George, but they eventually grew closer together, with Meemaw even delivering the most poignant speech at his funeral. Long before Young Sheldon, however, The Big Bang Theory previously established his special relationship with Sheldon, so it was disappointing that they never got a chance to have a proper farewell. Now it’s uncertain if they will ever reunite on-screen again.

In any case, Georgie and Mandy’s Young Sheldon spinoff, Georgie And Mandy’s First Marriage, can always bring them back together. None of the main Coopers are going to be series regulars in the next CBS show, but there have been rumblings about their cameos, but that will likely be the extent of it. Even then, there’s no guarantee that they will bring Potts and Armitage back as Meemaw and Sheldon at the same time. Considering this, the chances of seeing Connie and her Moonpie together after Young Sheldon are quite low at this point.

At least The Big Bang Theory confirmed that they maintained a good relationship well into Sheldon’s adulthood. Despite only appearing once in the nerd-centric sitcom, it was clear that Connie was still protective of her Moonpie. Granted that the franchise still hasn’t explained the change in Meemaw’s personality after the events of Young Sheldon, but they can easily fix that in Georgie and Mandy’s spinoff.
