Young Sheldon Star Reunites With Co-Star 3 Years After She Left (Will She Return For Season 7?)

Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage reunites with Danielle Pinnock, who played Mrs. Ingram — Medford High School’s math teacher. As the story of the Coopers in Texas winds down, the primary interest in its final year is mainly on the fate of the core cast. It will still be a great treat to see some familiar faces from Sheldon’s past return in Young Sheldon season 7 as he gears up for his move to California.
As production for Young Sheldon season 7 continues, Armitage shares an image of him with Pinnock on Instagram. Check out a screenshot of his post below:
Pinnock played Ms. Ingram for the first four seasons of Young Sheldon. Since Sheldon left Medford High School to start college at East Texas Tech, however, she hasn’t been back on the show. Pinnock is currently starring in CBS’ Ghost as Alberta.
Which Young Sheldon Characters Should Return For Season 7
It’s curious if this image is an indication that Ms. Ingram will appear in Young Sheldon season 7. Beyond her, however, some other characters and actors will be interesting to see again. For starters, Sheldon’s first best friend, Tam, who has seemingly faded into obscurity, will be a great guest star, considering his ties to the young genius. His appearance can also set up their conflict in The Big Bang Theory, where Sheldon claimed that they promised they would move to California together only for Tam to bail out on him. Paige is another character that needs to come back since her story was left in limbo in Young Sheldon season 6.
Aside from characters in the prequel, some players from The Big Bang Theory will be fun to see again. Thus far, Howard and Amy have already made voice cameos. More than Raj and Bernadette, however, it’s imperative that Young Sheldon brings in Sheldon’s best friends, Leonard and Penny. While CBS has utilized the spin-off to keep the public updated on what the Pasadena gang has been up to, it has yet to mention anything about the Hoftstadters. Young Sheldon season 7 can change that. In addition, if theories about Sheldon working on his autobiography are true, it only makes sense that he gets two of his greatest pals involved.
Admittedly, the shortened Young Sheldon season 7 may be a hindrance to bringing the supporting characters to the show. It will already be difficult to tackle all the lingering plot points in the family comedy with just 14 episodes left. That said, if handled efficiently, CBS can pull these cameos off, which can result in a much better send-off year for Sheldon and his family.
