The first Young Sheldon season 7 premiere sneak peek video spoils what happens next to Mary and Sheldon. Young Sheldon season 6 finale marks a transition period for the Coopers, and while it wasn’t as dramatic or eventful as its predecessors, it lays the groundwork for the future of the family. While the rest of the clan deals with the catastrophic tornado in Medford, Sheldon and his mom are on their way to Germany, where he will spend the rest of the summer.
In a newly released behind-the-scenes video for the Young Sheldon season 7 premiere, which will air on February 15, it is confirmed that Sheldon and Mary will be back in Texas by the time the show’s final year kicks off. Check out the clip from producer Ansley Rix below:
While narrative details are scant at the moment, the video shows both Zoe Perry and Iain Armitage on the set of Young Sheldon as filming for the season 7 premiere progresses. This means that both of their characters will already be home by then.
What To Expect From Young Sheldon Season 7?
There are two possible explanations for Sheldon and Mary’s return to Texas in Young Sheldon season 7. Firstly, it’s possible that they cut their trip short after learning of the devastating tragedy that hit Medford. While the Coopers’ house was unscathed, Meemaw’s house, on the other hand, was wrecked. Secondly, the shortened Young Sheldon season 7 may begin with a time jump. Sheldon is supposed to spend the whole summer in Germany. He may have returned home in the year because he has finished the program.
Elsewhere in Young Sheldon season 7 are other plots involving the rest of the family. Georgie and Mandy are finally engaged to be married, but there’s no guarantee that they will eventually tie the knot on screen. Per The Big Bang Theory, the pair eventually splits up sometime in the future, although it’s uncertain why. Missy, on the other hand, is expected to stay true to her promise to finally behave following a year of various rebelling acts. Finally, and perhaps most intriguingly is George’s upcoming death, which supposedly happens in the year.
It’s an understatement to say that the writers have their work cut out for them to deliver a satisfying send-off for the Coopers in just 14 episodes. The fact that Young Sheldon is no longer just about the boy genius means that all members of his family must get the swan song that they deserve. Otherwise, it’s still possible that Chuck Lorre is working to continue their story through a proper family comedy once Sheldon moves to California.
