Jones and Charlie Sheen.Angus in particular was making absurd money as a child star, though suddenly, he wanted out of the show, and it worried his fellow co-stars, including newcomer Ashton Kutcher.

The Moment ‘Two And A Half Men’ Removed Angus T. Jones From The Show’s IntroDuring Jones’ rant, Charlie Sheen spoke about the child star’s change in attitude. Sheen played the blame game, putting the heat on a certain Two and a Half Men creator. We’ll take a look back at how it all went down, and how both Sheen and Jones feel remorse for their past comments.

Angus T. Jones Went On A Rant During His Two And A Half Men Exit… But Later Regretted It

Back in 2012, Angus T. Jones completely changed his tune about Two and a Half Men. The actor called the show “filth” while making mention that he didn’t want to be there any longer, “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be.”

His rant was inspired by his new-found faith in religion, “If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here,” he says. “I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan. … You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show.”

Fans Think ‘Two And A Half Men’ Purposely Avoided A Lawsuit By Doing This During Charlie’s Funeral

The rant had lots of peers worried, including co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer. Angus T. Jones would regret his words looking back, blaming his thinking at the time. “I got pretty doomsday with my thinking for a long time, but now I’m having fun and enjoying where I’m at,” Jones admits. “I no longer feel like every step I take is on a land mine.”

The actor would also issue a formal apology. Ultimately, Charlie Sheen chimed in on the matter and the actor would also play the blame game for Jones’ outburst.

Charlie Sheen Blamed Chuck Lorre For Angus T. Jones’ Change In Behavior

Similar to Angus T. Jones, Charlie Sheen also regrets comments made about the sitcom. Charlie was in a different place when he left the show – and that also held true for when he made these comments about why Angus left the show and felt the way he did.

According to Charlie, Angus’ change of heart all took place because of Chuck Lorre’s apparent ‘dictatorship’.

“Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw.”

“I dare anyone to spend 10 years in the laugh track that is Chuck Lorre’s hive of oppression and not suffer from some form of an emotional tsunami. He’s a good kid but maybe over-influenced in some other beliefs.”

Similar to Jones, Charlie Sheen has different feeling towards what went down, particularly in the way he left the show. If he could go back, there is a lot the sitcom star would change…

Charlie Sheen Wishes He Would’ve Handled His Two And A Half Men Exit Differently

Alongside Deadline, Charlie Sheen admitted he basically ‘traded an early retirement for a hashtag.’ Charlie does have a few regrets for how it all unfolded, recalling a key moment that could have turned things around for both himself and the show.

“There’s a moment when [former CBS CEO] Les Moonves and his top lawyer, Bruce, were at my house and they said, ‘OK, the Warner jet is fueled up on the runway. Wheels up in an hour and going to rehab, right?’ My first thought was sort of like really … there’s some comedy value to what my first thought was,” Sheen says.

“In that moment, when I said, ‘Oh, damn, I finally get the Warner jet.’ That’s all I heard. But if I could go back in time to that moment, I would’ve gotten on the jet. And it was that giant left turn in that moment that led to, you know, a very unfortunate sequence of public and insane events.”

Sheen further stated there were several ways to handle the moment, and he picked the worst one, “There was 55 different ways for me to handle that situation, and I chose number 56. And so, you know, I think the growth for me post-meltdown or melt forward or melt somewhere — however you want to label it — it has to start with absolute ownership of my role in all of it.”

Oh, what could have been had Charlie and Angus stayed on the show until the very end.
