Kate Micucci Has Had a Fascinating Career Outside of The Big Bang Theory

Micucci played Raj’s girlfriend Lucy in The Big Bang Theory for eight episodes. These episodes were primarily featured in The Big Bang Theory season 6, with two additional appearances in season 7 and season 10. Despite her limited number of episodes, Micucci was a fan favorite on the show, as audiences were drawn to her odd and unassuming demeanor and unusual relationship with Raj.

Though Lucy might be Micucci’s biggest network TV role, the actress has had a unique career outside of the show. In addition to acting, Micucci represents half of the raunchy comedy song duo Garfunkel and Oates, which she founded in 2007 with Riki Lindhome. In hits like “The Loophole,” “Both Sides Can Laugh,” and “Me, You, and Steve,” the duo blends social commentary and risque humor within ostensibly sweet melodies.

Beyond contributing her vocal talents in song, Micucci is an accomplished voiced actress who has provided performances to shows to movies and TV shows such as The LEGO Batman Movie, Steven Universe, DuckTales, and Teen Titans Go!. She has also had a number of offbeat comedy roles in films like Don’t Think Twice and The Little Hours. Now enjoying her health, Micucci will hopefully go on to perform in further hilarious roles in her post-Big Bang Theory career.
