Recently speaking with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney updated fans on her current status, and why she stepped aside from Hollywood, just for the time being. Sweeney called the transition a tough one, but it’ll be back to work very soon.

Sydney Sweeney Recently Told Cosmopolitan She’s Posting Frequently On Instagram Due To Taking The Summer Off From Hollywood
Posted yesterday alongside Cosmopolitan, Sydney Sweeney gave fans a much-needed update on what she was up to in recent months. It seems like Sweeney is exploring the whole “relaxation” thing. Sweeney decided to take the summer off, and enjoy time with her friends. Of course, work is looming around the corner with Euphoria and Barbarella. Nonetheless, Sweeney is still making noise with some stunning IG photos. It all stems from the actress finally enjoying time away from Hollywood. She admits the transition wasn’t an easy one at first.
“You know, it’s a very different feeling for me. I am a workaholic. I love to work and I love juggling a million things at the same time. It was almost like a challenge to myself, to take a step back and allow myself to go into vacation mode. And it’s been hard! My friends would hide my phone while I’d be trying to call my team so we could talk scripts and work,” she tells Cosmopolitan.
Sweeney went on to reveal that she spends lots of time in her childhood lake house. “It’s where I grew up! Most of my friends are still my childhood friends, and that’s why most of them aren’t in the industry because I didn’t grow up in it. It’s very much just going back to my roots.”
With Sweeney taking time off, that means more personal and candid pics for fans to enjoy.
Sweeney’s “photo dumps” are receiving millions of likes online and fans are hoping that trend continues before it goes back to work.
Sydney Sweeney’s Returning To Work Soon With Euphoria
Among the other reveals made by Sydney Sweeney includes returning to Euphoria very soon. Sweeney admits the transition isn’t exactly easy. She hasn’t played Cassie in quite some time.
“I mean, this is my first time doing something like this. We did have a long time between season 1 and season 2, but especially now with the time jump, it’s a new process for me,” she tells Cosmopolitan.
“I’m kind of just learning as I go and being open for whatever’s to come. But I’m also really excited—I love Cassie. She is always such a thrilling character to play, so I’m really looking forward to what’s gonna happen in her life.”
Most of all, Sweeney is excited to return to such a family atmosphere. “I’ve always said that it feels like I’m coming home to my family. They were the crew and the cast that were there at the beginning of my career.”
