STAY IN THE FULLER HOUSE

STAY IN THE FULLER HOUSE

If you’re a Netflix subscriber and a fan of Full House the 1990s USA sitcom that kickstarted the career of the Olsen twins, then by now you must have seen the reboot Fuller House. About to start into season 5, the show is a continuation of the ABC series Full House, and features sister’s veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller and aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) share a house together to raise the children.

Set in the amazing city of San Fran it’s worth a watch, even if only to see some of the sights. The show is set in the City on the Bay part of San Francisco, the characters live in a house on Broderick Street. Jeff Franklin the show’s creator bought the house in May 2016 for a $4.5 million, because he loved the place so much. If you’re heading to San Fran any time soon you can actually stay in the Tanner house! You too can walk through the famous red door or shout “It’s always open” to someone else who is knocking on it. The property which covers a whopping 2983 sq. feet and will set you back around $13,950 per month (£11,000 ..!) For that you get the house, but it comes unfurnished…ouch! However, it does come with 3 bedrooms, a library, office and family room, plus many other features and a rather lovely English country garden.

If you’re planning on a visit and stopping for a selfie outside the iconic house, then be quick as it’s rumored the neighbors are a tad bored of the fame and the footfall that the house brings to the street. It’s a real snap and go mo!

SAN FRAN IS AN AMAZING CITY AND WE LOVE IT FOR THESE REASONS…
1. The Goldengate Bridge

2. Alcatraz

3. Cruise the San Fran bay + Ride a Street Car

4. Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39

5. Wander up and down Lombard Street, also lovingly known as ‘Crooked Street’. We love it that much we have a tapestry of the street!

6. Stuff yourself silly at the ‘Stinking Rose’ restaurant which serves amazing lobster and memorable steaks. The eatery is famous for the whiff of garlic that greets diners (and you bring away with you maybe do one in all in for a family meal here). The restaurant serves over 3,000 pounds of the pungent herb each month!

DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU PACK YOUR BAG – THINGS TO WATCH AND READ BEFORE YOU GO:
• An oldie but still a goody – Mrs Doubtfire made way back in 1993, you get to see some great city sites.

• In Monsters vs Aliens –good versus evil fight to save the Golden Gate Bridge and the city

• That’s So Raven and Raven’s Home was filmed in the city as were the Princess Diaries movies
