Ore City native to star in ‘Young Sheldon’ spinoff

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – After spending seven seasons in the hit show Young Sheldon, an Ore City native is getting his chance at being front-and-center of his own show.

Montana Jordan, 21, has played Georgie Cooper on Young Sheldon since 2017 when it debuted as a prequel spinoff of the hit sitcom, The Big Bang Theory. But now that Young Sheldon is coming to an end, and according to reporting by People Magazine, Jordan’s character is getting his own show. No title for it has been announced yet, but it will have Jordan continuing his role as Georgie alongside Emily Osment’s Mandy McAllister as they “(raise) their family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage.”

Jordan was born and raised in Ore City before making his television debut as Georgie in 2017.
