Jennifer Lawrence – Highest-Paid Actress

Jennifer Lawrence – Highest-Paid Actress

Consecutive top-billing of the world’s highest-paid actresses (2015 and 2016) announced by Forbes magazine on August 23.

Jennifer Lawrence, 26, rose to the top of the list thanks to the profits she received from the final installment of the blockbuster “Hunger Games” series. In addition, she also received an advance payment for the space travel adventure “Passengers”.

Although she is at the top of the female list, Forbes estimates that her daily salary is still far less than that of Hollywood’s leading male actors. The huge gap between male and female actors has not been bridged even though there have been many debates and many female stars speaking out about this during the year.

According to Forbes, Jennifer Lawrence earned $52 million in 2016, down 11.5% from 2015. This amount is also not as much as Taylor Swift, who leads the list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities in 2016, with about $170 million.

In second place after Jennifer Lawrence is McCarthy, who earned $33 million, up $10 million from 2015. Scarlett Johansson holds the third place with $25 million, down 30% from 2015. Fourth place on the list belongs to Jennifer Aniston with $21 million. Chinese star Fan Bingbing is in the top 5 with $17 million.
