Jennifer Lawrence denies having an affair with Liam behind Miley Cyrus’s back
The Oscar-winning star says she only kissed Liam Hemsworth once Hemsworth after he broke up with Miley Cyrus. There’s no way she was the third person.
As a guest on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on June 26, Jennifer Lawrence spoke out for the first time about the rumors that she ruined Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s happiness.
“It’s not true, it’s all just rumors,” the Oscar-winning star emphasized, explaining that she and Hemsworth only kissed once. That kiss took place many years later, after the Australian actor had broken up with Cyrus.
Lawrence’s assertion came after Cohen – the show’s host – said that there was a lot of talk that Cyrus’ music video Flowers was a reference to the secret relationship between Lawrence and Hemsworth.
In the music video for Flowers, released on Hemsworth’s birthday (January 13), Cyrus strolls through the Hollywood Hills in a sparkling design from Saint Laurent’s fall/winter 1991 collection. The outfit is reminiscent of the yellow dress Lawrence wore to the red carpet for The Hunger Games in 2012, in which she co-starred with Hemsworth.
According to Page Six, Cyrus and Hemsworth began dating in 2009 after co-starring in The Last Song. In December 2018, the couple got married, but their happiness didn’t last long.
The divorce was finalized in early 2020, and since then, Hemsworth has been dating his new girlfriend, model Gabriella Brooks. The duo live in Australia, and Hemsworth has introduced Brooks to his family and vice versa.
Meanwhile, the Wrecking Ball singer is dating Maxx Morando. In an interview with Vogue in May, Cyrus said she never regretted dating Hemsworth in the past. She shared: “I’m not going to erase my love story, or want it to be erased. This life is interesting, so it creates interesting storytelling.”
