She systematically combines strength, flexibility and muscle training exercises to keep her body toned. Harper’s Bazaar spoke with her trainer, Mr. Leyon Azubuike, to learn more about the exercises that help keep in shape like Jennifer Aniston.

1. Start with stretching exercises

Jennifer Aniston never jumps into exercise right away. She always warms up her body first with muscle stretching exercises to prevent injury when exercising. Jennifer Aniston’s rule is to spend 15 minutes on stretching movements. Some of her favorite movements are Cat Cow (stretches the spine) and Down Dog (stretches the arms and legs).

2. Practice cardio and boxing

After stretching her tendons, Jennifer Aniston will do cardio. Cardio exercises help increase heart rate effectively, burn fat and warm up the body.

3. Yoga

Jennifer Aniston is a self-proclaimed yoga enthusiast. She has earned her yoga instructor license since 2005. The actress loves exercises that help stretch muscles, meditate and relieve stress.

4. Planks

Finally, Jennifer Aniston will finish with a series of Planks. This is a series of movements that help train the abdominal and chest muscles to achieve the desired number 11 abs.

What you may not know is that Jennifer Aniston can hold a plank for up to 3 minutes! She has a routine that includes four different plank movements: traditional plank, side plank, and rotating plank. Each movement lasts 3 minutes, a total of 12 minutes for the plank exercise.
