Jenna Fischer’s Husband Lee Kirk Once Appeared on ‘The Office’ — All We Know About Him

Jenna Fischer shot to fame for playing Pam Beesley in the widely praised NBC sitcom “The Office.” Her on-screen marriage to actor John Krasinki’s character, Jim Halpert, and her popularity as a well-loved office receptionist contributed to her ascent to popularity.

Even after the famous series ended, many viewers continued to root for Halpert and Beesley as a couple, even though Fischer had already found happiness with her real-life husband, Lee Kirk.

Kirk is no stranger to working in the entertainment industry, as he is a successful writer, director, and actor. His writing credits include the films “Ordinary World” (2016), “The Giant Mechanical Man” (2012), and “Pants on Fire” (2008).

Kirk’s most notable achievement as a filmmaker, even though he only has a handful of credits to his name, was the episode of “The Office” titled “Vandalism,” which aired in 2013, and the 2003 short film “The Man Who Invented the Moon.”

Kirk was also the producer for the 2009 “Sad Happy Sucker” production in Los Angeles. Despite the many facets of his profession, Lee has had a few minor appearances in television series.

Fischer and Kirk have been together for more than a decade. They began dating in January 2008. In a 2012 interview with Vulture, Fischer recounted meeting Kirk at a short film festival and working together to develop a film.

Fischer, much like Kirk, has shown an interest in producing films and taking part in the production process of filmmaking. It looks like a good fortune for her that she was able to find her future husband in the same field.

Although she had met Kirk in the past, way before they were paired to make a short film, Fischer noted that she did not know him on a deeper level. Between exchanging ideas and writing drafts, she fell in love with Kirk. She said:

“I was developing feelings for him because this is my first producing job. I wanted to be professional! And here I am, falling in love with the writer.”

According to Fischer, their meetings evolved into dates, and she became wary about telling Kirk she had feelings for him. She likened their relationship to a love story on the big screen. They eventually declared their feelings for one other after eight months of dating.

Cooperating in the artistic process while dating Kirk became natural and comfortable for Fischer. They ultimately released “The Giant Mechanical Man.” Fischer believed the film significantly impacted her and Kirk’s relationship. She remarked:

“In a way, I think the movie helped us fall in love, and our falling in love helped the movie.”

Fischer and Kirk finally got engaged in June 2009 while on vacation in Europe. They were married in July 2010. Several of “The Office” actors were there to celebrate the couple’s happy occasion.

One of Fischer’s co-stars, Rainn Wilson, couldn’t help but share on Twitter the momentous occasion and called it the most beautiful wedding he had attended.
