HHT – It seems like Dakota Johnson has just added his name to the list of actors who play superhero movies but don’t like their movies. The actress just returned with the main role in “Madame Web” in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
In Madame Web, Dakota Johnson plays Cassandra Web, also known as Cassie, who has the ability to see the future. Cassie tries to protect three teenage girls from the pursuit of the evil man Ezekiel. He also became the female Spider-Mans and destroyed him, so he had to destroy them before that happened.
Not only were critics and audiences bored with the film, it seemed that even Dakota Johnson was not very excited about the film in which she played the main role. Although he did not openly criticize, during the film’s propaganda sessions, one could see that Dakota Johnson did not hide his lack of enthusiasm.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, when asked about the process of participating in a blockbuster with heavy green screen effects for the first time, Dakota Johnson called it a “completely mental” experience. “I’ve actually never done a movie where you’re on a green screen and there are fake explosions happening, and someone yells “Explosion!” then you act as if there was a real explosion.” Finally, Dakota Johnson expressed: “I don’t know if this is any good. I hope I did a good job!”
In an interview that Dakota Johnson did with Huffington Post, the interviewer asked about the most memorable line in the Madame Web trailer: “He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching a spider first. when she died.” The actress was bewildered and didn’t understand why that sentence created a widespread effect. The two chatted a bit more about the subject, with Dakota Johnson eventually calling the whole thing “silly.”
When participating in Saturday Night Live, Dakota Johnson also called Madame Web a movie that “looks like it was created by AI”. It’s not exactly a criticism, but it’s clearly not a compliment for Sony’s Spider-Verse superhero movie either.
Madame Web is currently in theaters nationwide.
