Created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, the series The Big Bang Theory (or TBBT) aired its first episode in September 2007 and ended 12 years later in May 2019. The series helped demonize and remove bad label of no-life that the “geek” community has always had. We enjoy seeing the evolution of the characters throughout the seasons and Jim Parsons’ acting is really very pleasant to watch. Moreover, the latter has been rewarded several times for his role in the series. Synopsis TBBT
The story of the series takes place in Pasadena, an American city located east of Los Angeles. It is there that Leonard and Sheldon, two friends and roommates who work as physicists at the same university, see their daily lives turned upside down when a new pretty neighbor, named Penny, arrives in the building. She has just arrived from her campaign to break into as an actress. As soon as Leonard laid eyes on his new next-door neighbor, he fell in love at first sight and already imagined himself living a life with her. Another duo is also present from the start of the first season, Raj and Howard. The latter also work at the same place as Leonard and Sheldon. Raj is an Indian immigrant who has a problem with muteness when he has to talk to girls while, on the contrary, Howard, despite his scrawny physique, flirts with every girl he meets. The four of them form a close-knit group of friends and will teach Penny the basics of geek culture. During the seasons, we follow the daily life of this funny group as well as their personal evolution, whether in their different romantic or professional relationships.
