Gal Gadot’s Cleopatra Movie Will Change Views of the Egyptian Queen

Gal Gadot is very excited about the film project about the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, and hopes that the new film will change the public’s perception of this character.

In an interview with Vogue about her new film Heart of Stone, Gal Gadot shared her views on the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. Accordingly, the actress wants to change the public’s view of this legendary Queen.

“If Wonder Woman is a strong female leader in fantasy, Cleopatra is a real person. That’s a perfect example of the story I want to tell. Because in the different books I read about Cleopatra, all I saw portrayed was that she was a seductive woman who had relationships with Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony,” the actress shared.

However, for Gal Gadot, the actress wants to portray Cleopatra as someone who was ahead of her time.

“Egypt in general and the Egypt of that era in particular are still ahead of us today. For me, I’m passionate about telling the story of the Egyptian Queen and doing justice to her character and her legacy,” said Gal Gadot. “We have a beautiful script and I can’t wait to share this story with the world,” the actress continued, “It’s a completely different story, changing the audience’s perspective that Cleopatra was more than just a seductress.”
