The beloved family sitcom Full House came to an end in 1995, but the story of the Tanner family didn’t end there. Warner Bros. released a series of books with different stories based on the characters of Michelle and Stephanie Tanner thereafter, but as that wasn’t enough for long-time fans, a spin-off series is on its way.

Appropriately titled Fuller House, the series will have most of the original cast back either as main or regular characters. This new adventure of the Tanner family will follow the two eldest sisters, D.J (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) along with D.J’s unforgettable best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). The first teaser didn’t feature any of the previously mentioned characters, but a new promo video shows these three beloved characters having some fun.

Netflix released a new promo for Fuller House with Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber having some dance fun backstage in preparation for the release of the series (see the clip above). Though there’s no dialogue and it’s only them dancing to Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” in front of a green screen, fans will be happy to see that their personalities haven’t changed one bit.

Fuller House will follow D.J Tanner-Fuller, now a veterinarian and recently widowed mother of three; her sister, Stephanie Tanner, an aspiring musician looking to follow the steps of her uncle Jesse; and loyal best friend Kimmy Gibbler, now a single mother of a feisty teenager. Stephanie and Kimmy will move in with D.J to help her look after her three boys – rebellious 12-year-old Jackson, neurotic 7-year-old Max, and baby Tommy Jr. The storyline reminisces the one of the original series, which is a safe move to ensure the interest of fans.

Joining them as part of the recurring cast will be Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (the always lovable uncle Joey), Lori Loughlin (aunt Becky), John Stamos (cool uncle Jesse), and Scott Weinger (D.J’s ex-boyfriend, Steve Hale). The big absence in Fuller House will be the Olsen twins, who portrayed the youngest Tanner daughter, Michelle, but her absence will be explained throughout this new series.

The 13-episode first season of Fuller House promises to be a trip of nostalgia – with all these characters coming together once more as well as having a similar storyline to the original series – and it will also introduce the beloved Tanner family to a new generation. Whether or not it’s successful beyond that though, remains to be seen.
