New Fuller House behind-the-scenes images reveal what happened before DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy walked down the aisle. After Steve’s proposal in the midseason 5 finale of the Netflix spinoff, it was clear the sitcom would build towards a triple wedding for its series finale. Lo and behold, that’s exactly what happened, with the final episode mainly revolving around the two older Tanner girls and their life-long friend tying the knot to their respective partners.

Much of Fuller House‘s final nine episodes revolved around preparing for the wedding. The girls got their time trying on their dresses, while the boys also picked their suits. There were also a few family gatherings just to celebrate the upcoming nuptials, which gave the show an excuse to bring the whole Full House gang together. By the time of the wedding itself, unforeseen circumstances forced the couples to host the event at the Tanner family backyard, which made sense considering how intimate the celebration was.

Now, thanks to a series of behind-the-scenes images shared by star Candace Cameron Bure, who also served as one of Fuller House‘s producers, fans can see what went down off-camera before the wedding began. The collection of photos includes a moment with Cameron Bure and Bob Saget just before they walk down the aisle as well as a dapper photo of the grooms. Check them out below:

Looking back at these photos may just remind fans of Michelle’s absence in the series finale and in Fuller House in general. As nice as seeing the Tanner family share some memorable moments together was, fans of Full House know there was a massive void in the show with the youngest sister not around. Granted, the spinoff explained Michelle’s based in New York where she runs her fashion empire, but it’s odd no one in the family tried to bring her back to San Francisco, even just for narrative purposes. Aside from the references here and there, she’s barely mentioned in the sitcom. In fact, there was not even any talk about inviting Michelle to DJ and Stephanie’s wedding.

In any case, given how close the cast of Fuller House seems to have become over its five year run, as well as in Full House before it, it shouldn’t be difficult to rope them all back in if there’s another opportunity to continue their story. There are no plans for that right now, but with an idea for Fuller House season 6 and fans’ desire for more Tanner stories, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. In the meantime, followers of the sitcom can simply revisit the offshoot on the streaming service or through behind-the-scenes photos like these.
