Fuller House: 10 Best Quotes From The Final Season

Fuller House: 10 Best Quotes From The Final Season

Fuller House wrapped up its story with the fifth and final season. As you look back on the episodes and touching moments, here are the 10 best quotes

Fuller House, the decades-later sequel to ’80s and ’90s sitcom Full House, finished its fifth and final season on Netflix. The streaming service resurrected the show in 2016 containing the same level of cheesy storylines and cheap laughs. But viewers couldn’t get enough of it. And even though the viewership numbers seemingly dropped season to season (Netflix doesn’t officially report viewership figures) it’s clear that the show’s sappiness and themes of joy and love were appreciated.

The final season wrapped up everything with a neat bow. But before getting to the very end of the story, there were some hilarious and touching quotes. Here are the 10 best.

“There’s A Car In The Kitchen”

Alongside this one is the quote that preceded it: “I’m in a car and I’m in the kitchen.” What makes both so funny? They are throwbacks to the original series, Full House, when an exact same scene occurred.

An eight-year-old Stephanie accidentally backs Joey’s car into the kitchen and says the very same lines. When she is met by a stunned Michelle in the original, she shockingly states the obvious. In the new series, it’s Tommy who walks in to witness to wreckage and say those very same words to Stephanie.

“I Just Want To Keep Binging”

It’s among the first lines spoken in the first episode of the back-half of season five. Viewers are led to think the cast is speaking about the show itself and the seemingly premature cancellation. They just want to keep binge-watching it, but sadly, Netflix has declared season five to be the last.

They discuss how it just makes you feel good and it’s what they need right now. In the end, it’s revealed that they’re actually talking about ice cream!

“No Dresses For You!”

Berta was a hilarious character, a foreign wedding store owner with a heavy accent and a signature style who provided the tuxedos and dresses for the triple wedding. In one scene, when Max arrives to give feedback on the men’s suit fitting and insults her taste, she gets upset at the “little man.”

In a moment reminiscent of Seinfeld‘s Soup Nazi, she walks away in a huff, declaring “no dresses for you!” and advising that she will no longer provide bridesmaids dresses either given the way they’ve treated her.

“I Never Knew There Could Be A Day I’d Have Donuts And Pie And Still Feel Sad.”

Yes, this was spoken by the food-loving (yet ridiculously thin!) Steve, who was known even in the original season for his voracious appetite, particularly for sandwiches. In this scene, both Stephanie and Kimmy show up with delicious desserts to soften the blow when they reveal big news.

As Steve chows down on both the donuts and pie, he says this line after DJ’s best friend and little sister both announce that they are moving out.

“Tonight Is Going To Be The Greatest Night Ever. Boo-Ya!”

When Matt says this just before the boys head out for their bachelor party, it almost guarantees that the night will be a flop. And while it wasn’t a total disaster, they did run into some issues.

While enjoying ax throwing for the first time, Steve discovers a hidden talent for it that angers the big, burly man who currently holds the record at the venue. Thankfully, by sticking by their friend and telling the man touching stories about Steve, they break him and he scampers off in tears.

“No! He’s Not Going To Do My Love Shack Dance?!”

During the game of Nearlyweds that the kids arranged for the parents, each of the guys came in dressed in a fun outfit or with a special message to honor the girls and apologize for their competitive behaviour.

Jimmy came out dressed like Stephanie was as a little girl in an episode of Full House where she did a dance performance at school to the song “Love Shack.” Not only was he dressed like her, but he copied many of the moves, too!

“Was That An Argentinian Tradition Or Did People Just Not Like You Very Much?”

Fernando smiling in Fuller House

Max arrives home from his fencing class in full garb and Fernando sees him and mentions that he used to do fencing as a child. He claims that he had to learn to fence “to survive.”

To this, Max delivers one of his signature witty clap-backs that mark the relationship between the two. Fernando challenges Max to a duel and Max confidently accepts…but he has to finish his homework, first!

“Hey, How Long Are You Going To Keep Michelle’s Bike? If She Hasn’t Come For It By Now, She’s Not Coming.”

Stephanie and DJ look at something with surprise in Fuller House

One of the most talked about lines from the final season, this one appeared in the penultimate episode and saw Kimmy break the fourth wall for the final time on the series. It was a veiled reference (and maybe dig) to the fact that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who shared the role of Michelle on the original series, did not make an appearance on the reboot.

While rummaging through old items in the attic to find “something borrowed” to wear on their wedding day, they came across Michelle’s old bike. And Kimmy asks DJ this question.

“Oh My Landline, It’s My Lips Phone!”

DJ holds up a ring while standing in a messy attic in Fuller House.

DJ’s squeaky-clean attitude means that she would never utter the words “Oh my God.” Instead, she is known for her catchphrase “Oh, Mylanta.” But she also cleverly modifies it sometimes, depending on the situation.

In this case, it’s another line while the girls are in the attic looking through old stuff. Stephanie finds DJ’s old bedroom phone that’s shaped as red lips. She pretends to answer an incoming call from “that cute boy, Steve Hale” as they reminisce about the old days.

“I Can’t Help That I Dance When I Lie. I Have Guilty Feet.”

Jackson and Ramona standing together in Fuller House

In one of many touching moments on the series,  Jackson decides to pretend he’s sick so Ramona, his understudy, can get the lead part in the big school play instead. But when Ramona goes to his room to ask him a question, she catches him dancing to techno with his headphones on, clearly feeling just fine.

She asks him how many times she has to catch him in a lie the exact same way, and this was his hilarious answer.
