Full House Cast Is Replaced by Nick Offerman in Bizarre Mashup

Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman becomes every single cast member of the classic ’80s sitcom Full House in a weird deepfake fan-edit.

A bizarre fan-made video brings Nick Offerman to Full House. The hit ’80s/’90s sitcom continues to live through its Netflix-produced spinoff sequel, Fuller House, but fans still prefer the original version. And in an odd way to modernize the family-oriented program, a deep-fake edit mashes it up with Parks and Recreation star, Offerman.

Putting the focus on the Tanner family, newly-widowed Danny (Bob Saget) asks his brother-in-law Jesse (John Stamos) and best friend Joey (Dave Coulier) to help him raise his three young girls – DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweeting) and Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen). The show ran for eight long years, and by the time it ended, the young actors have significantly aged. Thanks to its general appeal stemming from relatable plot lines executed in an easily digestible way, it remains to be a favorite rewatch for some. But a new clip may change people’s perception of the show thanks to a well-made, albeit a disturbing clip.

Created by content creator Dr. Fakenstein on Twitter comes an edited video of the opening sequence for Full House. Since the sitcom updated this scene every year as the girls aged, this one came a little bit later during their run. The video looks exactly how it played in the early ’90s except for a recurring detail – every cast face’ was replaced by Offerman’s face – complete with a mustache. Offerman caught wind of the clip and the retweeted it, watch it below:

It’s a truly haunting clip since it’s barely noticeable at the start. But once it goes to full close ups of the characters, it becomes very clear that these are not the faces of the actors involved in the series. Integrating Offerman’s face with the adults like Saget, Stamos and Coulier was no big deal considering that they somehow work. But seeing Ron Swanson’s iconic face over Bure, Sweeting, Andrea Barber and the Olsen twins’ faces, much more so during their younger years is quite off-putting.

While this caught Offerman’s attention, it doesn’t seem like any of the cast of Full House has yet to see this. Most of them are busy working on the fifth and final season of Fuller House which will debut on Netflix this fall. Lori Loughlin’s Aunt Becky will not return following her involvement in the College Admission scandal. This poses a huge challenge for the show considering that they have to somehow explain her absence. They managed to skirt around the idea of Michelle not coming home to San Francisco in the last four years because the Olsen twins refuse to partake in the show. In any case, perhaps bringing in Offerman as a guest could divert people’s attention to Aunt Becky’s absence.
