Friends Stars Honor Matthew Perry in a Personal Instagram Tribute

Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow took to Instagram this week to pay tribute and honor their late co-star Matthew Perry with touching messages.

Jennifer Aniston shared a lengthy message via Instagram on Wednesday, expressing her love and gratitude for Perry. Aniston considered Perry, along with the cast members, as a “chosen family” that “changed the course” of who they were and what their paths were going to be.

“We all experience loss at some point in our lives,” she expressed. “Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep,” she stated.

Additionally, she shared a sweet message from Perry in her moving tribute, revealing that she would keep those messages forever. “I found one text that he sent out of nowhere one day. “It says it all,” she stated.

David Schwimmer posted a picture via Instagram with the late actor and thanked him for “10 incredible years of laughter and creativity” and recalled Perry’s ability to take straight dialogue and turn it into “something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Matt LeBlanc had a close relationship with the late co-star on and off-screen. He shared a touching Instagram post on Tuesday, reflecting on how it was an “honor to share the stage” with his late friend and that he “will always smile” whenever he thinks of Perry.

“Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love,” he stated.

Courtney Cox expressed how she is “grateful for every moment” she had with the late actor. In a video post to Instagram, she shared a scene from the beginning of Monica and Chandler’s love story, played by Perry.

Lisa Kudrow shared a recent post via Instagram on Wednesday afternoon. In the post, she mentions the early days with Perry at NBC Upfronts, in which they had shot the pilot for the show. Kudrow expressed her thanks for the late actor’s ability to make her laugh, his open heart, and the time she had with him.
