Friends star Matt LeBlanc ‘hasn’t spoken to dad in nine years’ after ‘petty row’

Matt LeBlanc ‘s dad says they haven’t spoken for nine years after a ‘petty row’ over a motorbike.

Paul, whose son will be seen soon on Friends : The Reunion, says it’s been almost a decade since he spoke to his son.

The 79-year-old says a ‘petty’ row between himself and the Joey Tribbiani star over giving away a motorbike led to a bitter dispute between them.

And he says he’s been trying to fix things ever since to no avail, although Matt tells a very different story.

It’s claimed that Matt, 53, cut his dad off financially, which led to him having to move out of his home.

Paul says that while his son continues to ignore text messages from him, the only way he can feel connected to his son is by watching old re-runs of Friends.

He told the Sun on Sunday : “I’ve been living without any contact for nine years and it is still hard to believe what has happened.

“I’ve been cut off and locked out of my house over a humiliating argument about money and a motorbike.

“I’m an old man now and I live off social security. If it wasn’t for my savings, I wouldn’t be able to survive.”

Paul added that he never hears from his son and that Matt has only sent him one birthday card during his entire life.

He says he’s sent a number of text messages asking if they can patch things up, but that he’s been ignored.

He described it as “humiliating” and said Matt has always been a “mother’s boy” and that this is not the only time they’ve fallen out over the years.

And sending a message to his son, he said: “You need to get your act together before it is too late. You’re going to miss me when I’m gone.”
