Friends fans notice something really creepy about The One With Rachel’s New Dress

Which makes it all the more surprising that viewers are only just noticing this really creepy detail about The One With Rachel’s New Dress, after someone on Reddit pointed it out.

To recap, in the season four episode, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) plans a romantic date with Joshua and hopes they’ll spend their first night together. Things don’t quiiiite go to plan when his fear of farm birds is ignited by Joey and Chandler’s duck and rooster. Rachel and Joshua then end up at his parent’s house, where Rachel slips into a negligee (hence her ‘new dress’), only for his parents to arrive home early from their trip abroad.

Rachel then attempts to pass off her slip dress as a new Spanish trend, telling Joshua’s parents, “See, I work in fashion and this is a real dress. They’re wearing it in Milan… A part of my job is to wear the clothes and then I see how people respond and then I report back to my superiors at Bloomingdales. And obviously in this case, I’m going to report back ‘USA, not ready…'”

It’s at this point that the eyes on the statue behind her right shoulder flash red (WTF), with no explanation or real reasoning. Along with photos from the scene, the Reddit user wrote, “So I’m on the episode The One with Rachel’s New Dres” and I noticed something odd – notice the glowing red eyes.”

Unsurprisingly, fans are as surprised by the moment as you are. “Wtffff creepy,” one person wrote, while another added, “Uhhhh?”
