Free online application for lust movies?

The recent Sex/Life and last year’s 365 Days are Netflix’s purely erotic films, both attracting many viewers but receiving countless criticisms for their bland and crude content.

The plots of these movies are not meaningless but actually just serve as a background for the sex scenes. The character’s psychology is only superficial, sometimes too forced and promotes an easy and toxic lifestyle.

Sex/Life is a rather dry name for a series of erotic movies. About the first 20 minutes of episode 1, viewers will be surprised with the way the movie introduces itself: quite… serious, with beautiful scenes and not too bad acting.

The film’s theme is not too bad: the crisis of an American woman when she retires to be a quiet wife and mother in the suburbs, away from her past of playboys and rebellion in the magnificent center of New York.

Frustrated by her husband’s lack of love, Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) becomes even more haunted by her past love. The inner thoughts of such women are also a topic worth exploring, sometimes receiving sympathy.

This would probably be a watchable movie if Billie’s past love was nothing special other than being filled with lust. It’s not a deep love or a desire to stay together forever.

Billie’s ex-boyfriend was a promiscuous person, had an affair when she had just had a miscarriage and had sex with her best friend. As for Billie and her husband, when he saw his wife becoming more and more obsessed with her ex-girlfriend, the husband also warmed up their marriage with sexual adventures.

Because of its exploitation of only sex and sex, Sex/Life completely loses its focus and message. The plot, details and lines of dialogue seem to have been invented just to serve the scenes of intimate relationships.

The characters are dominated by sexual desires, so their psychology is also built superficially and forcefully. The film was criticized for its ending promoting adultery.

Before this movie, Netflix’s 365 Days also received a lot of criticism in 2020. Only scoring 3.3 points on IMDb, 365 Days is even worse than Sex/Life when the entire plot has no meaning. Which is significant.

Massimo, a mafia boss, kidnapped Laura – the woman who haunted him after seeing him for the first time. Massimo gives Laura 365 days to fall in love with him, otherwise he will release her.

If the cast of Sex/Life isn’t so bad, the cast of 365 Days is truly a disaster, not doing much other than showing off their bodies and making terrible expressions. The way the film’s characters are built, the dialogue, and the plot are all disastrous, giving the audience goosebumps because it’s so forced and difficult to feel.

Even though the movies are bad, there is a clear reason why Netflix continues to produce and release these movies: they have many viewers. If Sex/Life climbed to the top 10 in many countries immediately after its release and was heavily promoted on the homepage, 365 Days also entered the top 10 most watched movies of Netflix in 2020.

Consequences of superficial filmmaking

Movies about lust, with an adult age rating, are also a specialized movie genre on online applications. They are produced for adults and talk about adult issues, so they cannot be said to be meaningless or unnecessary. However, if we keep producing bad works, this type of film will increasingly decline.

Fifty Shades of Gray (story and movie) is not a good work, but at least it has a clear plot and message and has helped a part of readers and audiences “warm up” their marriage. Some later films have the feeling of imitating and following the success of Fifty Shades of Gray but lacking identity, telling stories that are not worth watching.

According to Bustle, we live in an era where it is very convenient to view sexual content on online applications. The problem is that some of them are really bad and are just made to attract customers. Many people who finished watching Sex/Life expressed regret for wasting their time.

The A.V. page Club also criticized this film for its messy adaptation, skipping many necessary details to create depth for the characters.

The film is adapted from the novel 44 Chapters About 4 Men. According to the book, readers can understand more about Billie’s background as well as her relatively high educational level, to understand why she regrets her career and past before getting married.

In general, no matter what stage the error lies in, films of this type easily fail because of superficial filmmaking, focusing on showing off the characters’ bodies instead of paying attention to their souls.

In the past, television producers have produced worth-watching series such as Sex and the City, which is also about sex and women but is wittier and more profound yes

The film explores the thoughts, philosophies, and life perspectives behind the sexual needs of different types of women in society. Sex and the City ended in 2004, and it would be sad if movies about sex and women now go backwards.
