Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar leads twisted new thriller with Uma Thurman

Suspicion has been given a first look and release date.

The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar is set to appear alongside Uma Thurman in new thriller series Suspicion, which has been given a release date in early 2022.

Set to stream globally on Apple TV+ from February 4, the eight-part series follows the aftermath of the abduction of a prominent US businesswoman’s son.

Also starring The Americans’ Noah Emmerich, Black Mirror‘s Georgina Campbell, Scorpion‘s Elyes Gabel, Agents of SHIELD‘s Elizabeth, White Lines‘ Tom Rhys-Harries and Dancing on the Edge‘s Angel Coulby, the show has been given a first look in a series of photos too.

The full synopsis reads: “When the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Thurman) is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on four seemingly ordinary British citizens who were at the hotel on the night in question.

“As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted.

“Who is really behind the mysterious abduction, and who is only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?”

The series is based on the Israeli show False Flag, with The Man in the High Castle‘s Rob Williams serving as showrunner and executive producer.

Since wrapping his turn as Raj Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory, Nayyar has starred in the likes of Netflix’s Criminal: UK, playing the role of a calculating killer that marked a big departure from the comedy series.

Thurman, meanwhile, is well known for appearing in Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series of movies.

Suspicion will premiere on Apple TV+ from Friday, February 4, 2022 with two episodes. New episodes will be streaming every Friday afterwards.
