In this supernatural thriller, Sweeney delivers a bewitching performance as Juliet, a young classical pianist who becomes enthralled by the notebook of a student at her boarding school who committed suicide. Sweeney returned to horror movies with aplomb in Immaculate, a film she also produced. In it, she plays Sister Cecilia, a novice nun who moves to a convent in the Italian countryside that watches over elderly nuns. She quickly learns that not everything is as it seems when she suddenly becomes pregnant, despite being a virgin.
