John Stamos Celebrates Full House 35th Anniversary With New BTS Footage

John Stamos shares a previously unseen behind-the-scenes video featuring the whole cast in celebration of Full House’s 35th anniversary.

John Stamos celebrates the 35th anniversary of Full House by sharing a never-before-seen video with the rest of the cast. Playing Uncle Jesse in a hit family sitcom, the actor was among the original characters from the ABC show, which ran from 1987 to 1995. In 2016, Netflix revived the series with Fuller House, its first spinoff sequel.

Admittedly, Full House wasn’t a critical success, but it was a massive hit with audiences. Known for depicting an atypical family with three men raising three young daughters, the show’s events kicked off with the sudden death of Danny Tanner’s wife, leaving him, his best friend, Joey, and brother-in-law Jesse to parent DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle. As it depicted the joys and difficulties of raising children, it also regularly focused on the kids’ different experiences as they grew up, which made it appealing to a wide range of audiences. 35 years later, it continues to be a favorite among old and new fans, especially after Netflix’s Fuller House offshoot.

In celebration of Full House‘s anniversary, Stamos shares a new behind-the-scenes clip from their time filming the show’s iconic opening video in San Francisco. Despite being set in the Golden Gate City, it was largely filmed in Los Angeles. The show’s opening video and just one episode were actually shot on location. In the caption, Stamos thanks all the cast and crew of the series, and asks them to also share their memories of the day filmed this particular bit. Check out the video below:

Can Another Full House Spinoff Happen?

2022 is a bittersweet year for Full House, as earlier this year, Danny Tanner actor Bob Saget unexpectedly died. So, a year that was supposed to be in celebration of the series’ 35th anniversary is now also devoted to mourning such a massive loss, considering how close the actors continue to be despite the project ending decades ago. In any case, most of them are interested in doing another Full House spinoff after Fuller House, even with Saget no longer around. In fact, Dave Coulier believes that his late friend would want them to reunite for that. It’s worth noting, however, that there are no current plans to do another spinoff, but considering the cast’s eagerness to participate, it would be fairly easy to stage it in case any broadcaster or streaming service offers them a platform.

In any case, there isn’t any scarcity of stories to tell in case the Tanners return to the small screen. It’s no secret that Netflix’s cancelation of Fuller House came as a shock to the cast, as they were saving certain plotlines for season 6. The proposed second Full House offshoot could simply tackle those, which includes putting more focus on Stephanie and her daughter, Danielle. Aside from that, it could also bring back Lori Loughlin’s Aunt Becky after the character missed Fuller House‘s final season following her college admissions scandal involvement. Perhaps, they might even be able to finally convince Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to return as Michelle.
