John Stamos and Lori Loughlin reunite for a throwback Full House video on TikTok. The long-time on-screen partners are known for their roles as the fan-favorite couple Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky on both the ’80s TV series and its followup Fuller House. Stamos and Loughlin have frequently discussed their real-life friendship and have stayed in touch since Full House went off the air in 1995.
In recent years, Loughlin’s involvement in a college admissions scandal led to her spending two months in prison, paying a hefty fine, and completing 100 hours of community service as part of her punishment. In light of her ties to the national controversy, Loughlin lost some of her TV gigs, and Aunt Becky wasn’t in the final season of Fuller House. However, after serving her sentence in late 2020, Loughlin is slowly making a comeback, and it appears her Full House co-stars are supportive of this endeavor. Back in August, Loughlin joined Stamos on stage as he performed with The Beach Boys. Now, they make another appearance together, this time via a social media post.
Taking to his official TikTok account, Stamos joined the “Teenage Dirtbag” trend with a little help from Loughlin. The video features some photos of them while playing Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky, but also includes images from before they were cast on the family sitcom, showing the length of their friendship.
Can Uncle Jesse & Aunt Becky Return In Possible Fuller House Season 6?
Fuller House was canceled by Netflix after five seasons — a move that surprised those involved in the show as they were expecting to come back for at least a year. Since then, the cast has gone through several life-changing experiences, including losing one of their own with the sudden death of Bob Saget earlier this year. Despite that, most of them are interested in another Full House spinoff or at least Fuller House season 6. If either of these options comes to fruition, it’s likely Stamos would be interested in returning as Uncle Jesse, but it’s difficult to say if Loughlin would be brought back due to her scandal. Then again, considering Stamos’ and the rest of her former co-stars’ support, chances are they would push for her reprisal of Aunt Becky.
If Loughlin returns for a possible Full House revival, it could finally give her character the ending that Fuller House wasn’t able to deliver. Since Becky wasn’t part of the Netflix spin-off’s final season, her story was just left hanging in the balance. She was supposed to reclaim her old job as the host of Good Morning, San Francisco with Danny Tanner, but given Saget’s passing, the show may not be able to pick up that arc. However, audiences would likely be interested in Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse’s story as new parents to Pamela.
