Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Present a United Front at Court for the College Admissions Scandal

Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, presented a united front as they returned to court Tuesday, August 27, for a hearing related to the college admissions scandal. The former Hallmark Channel actress and the fashion designer—who have been keeping a low profile since the Operation Varsity Blues investigation broke in March—held hands as they entered, and later left, the Boston Federal Courthouse together.

According to CNN, the couple’s Aug. 27 hearing “addressed potential conflicts of interest regarding their attorneys in the case.” The pair also waived their rights to separate attorneys, electing to have lawyers from the same law firm represent them in their upcoming trial, which the judge allowed. A Loughlin legal source recently told PEOPLE that the TV star and Giannulli “are united in this.”

“They’re going to face this together, and they believe that together they can beat this and move on with their lives,” the source said. “You won’t see one of them turning on the other.”

Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters, Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella Rose, 20, admitted as recruits for the University of Southern California crew team, even though neither of them participated in the sport. The couple pleaded not guilty in April to charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

This month, a source told PEOPLE that the actress, who is best known for playing Aunt Becky on the beloved sitcom Full House, is “remorseful” and “has definite regrets.” The source noted that while the mom of two believes the allegations against her are not true, she “knows that her reputation has been ruined for life.”

In July, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose broke their social media silence to wish their mom a happy 55th birthday. “Happy birthday mama. I love you,” Bella wrote, while Olivia added: “My people.”
