‘How I Met Your Mother’ spin-off trailer was released

“How I Met Your Father” – spinoff of “How I Met Your Mother” – has its first trailer, with Hillary Duff starring and producing.

In the trailer released by Hulu on December 17, main character Sophie (Hilarry Duff) struggles to date in the modern world. Next to her is a group of five close friends (Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma), exploring love and life together.

Sophie in the future (Kim Cattrall) - who narrates the entire story - appears at the beginning of the trailer. In the original series, the narrator (Bob Saget) only voiced and was never present in all nine seasons.

How I Met Your Mother is a CBS series, lasting from 2005 to 2014. The film tells the dating life of main character Ted Mosby, through a special structure when Ted in 2030 narrates to the children. the story "how dad met mom".

After its success, American filmmakers sought to produce a spin-off series with similar content but the main character's gender changed. However, three projects in 2014, 2016 and 2017 failed one after another because the stations did not support them, according to Deadline. In April of this year, the streaming platform Hulu gave the green light, sponsoring the first season of How I Met Your Father. Based on audience feedback, Hulu will decide whether to continue making future seasons or not.


How I Met Your Father was written and produced by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Lead actor Hillary Duff participated in the film's production. The first episode of the series will be shown on Hulu on January 18, 2022. The director of this episode is Pamela Fryman - the main director of How I Met Your Mother.

Hillary Duff is an American actress and singer. She became famous from Disney TV channel with the main role in the series Lizzie McGuire (2001-2004). During her career, Duff acted in both film and television, and released five music albums with sales of about 15 million copies.
