Friends reunion CANCELLED as David Schwimmer pulls out of Top Gear with Matt LeBlanc

Reports have suggested that David, who became a household name after playing Ross Geller in Friends, is suffering from marital problems and as such withdrew from the BBC motoring show.

As a result, bosses have turned to stars who have already appeared on Top Gear to bring this series to a close.

The Sun reports that Jay Kay from Jamiroquai and comedian Ross Noble are due to be the last guests, despite already recording lap times on the Top Gear track previously.

A source told the newspaper: “Matt tried to get David to come on and it was looking hopeful at one point, despite his busy schedule.

“It’s a shame as he would have been a great guest and loads of people would have tuned in to witness the banter between him and Matt.

“The new presenters’ chemistry is improving and the videos have been great, but there hasn’t been one amazing guest compared to who the old hosts used to attract,” the source explained.

David, 50, announced earlier this week that he and his wife Zoe Buckman had taken a break after nearly seven years of marriage.

The pair told US Weekly in a statement: “It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship.
