Young Sheldon Series Finale Clip Shows The Coopers Have Fully Moved On After George’s Death

Missy, Mary, and Sheldon have seemingly moved on from George’s death in a new Young Sheldon series finale clip. What started like any other day for the Cooper household ended with the family being hit by their biggest tragedy. George died of a heart attack, with the news delivered by his Medford co-workers to his family in the final moments of Young Sheldon season 7, episode 12. With just two episodes left for The Big Bang Theory prequel, all eyes are on Sheldon and his clan as they cope with this heartbreaking incident.

Ahead of the Young Sheldon finale, CBS has shared a clip from the episode “Memoir,” which features Missy, Mary, and Sheldon back in churchand seemingly done grieving George’s unexpected death. Watch the clip from Young Sheldon‘s official YouTube channel below:

In the Young Sheldon season 7 clip, the trio attends Pastor Jeff’s service when Sheldon unexpectedly pulls out his laptop. Intrigued by it, Missy asks if it has games. Mary, on the other hand, is annoyed at her kids because they aren’t focused on what they are supposed to do. All in all, however, they appear to have already moved on from George’s death.

What To Expect From The Young Sheldon Series Finale

Just because they appear to have gotten used to the loss of George, it doesn’t mean that The Big Bang Theory prequel will gloss over the aftermath of his death. Since the big plot twist happened in the final moments of season 7, episode 12, it didn’t have the time to explore how the family really responded to the demise of their patriarch. As seen in the official Young Sheldon series finale trailer, the Coopers will struggle in the aftermath of George’s death, as it shows how each of them copes with their grief.

Based on the confirmed returns of Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik’s adult Sheldon and Amy, the final hour of The Big Bang Theory spinoff will fast forward to the future, which will reveal why the socially inept genius has been narrating his childhood.

The Young Sheldon finale will not just stay in the prequel’s timeline. Based on the confirmed returns of Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik’s adult Sheldon and Amy, the final hour of The Big Bang Theory spinoff will fast forward to the future, which will reveal why the socially inept genius has been narrating his childhood. Per the send-off’s title, it’s safe to assume that it’s because he is working on his memoir. It’s uncertain if there will be any other surprise cameos in the episode, but it’s the perfect opportunity to also bring in The Big Bang Theory cast.

George’s death has highlighted how great the writing has been on Young Sheldon. As a comedy, the prequel was able to deliver a gut-punch death without compromising its more lighthearted aspect. Hopefully, however, it is able to maintain that high level of storytelling quality as it wraps up with its final two episodes.
