The violent love scenes in the novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” were not fully portrayed on screen, making fans of the 2012 best-selling novel a bit disappointed. The New York Daily News and Entertainment both did not appreciate the acting of the two main actors in the film. On February 11, the cast of Fifty Shades of Gray along with the director and author of this novel were present at the Berlin International Film Festival, Germany, on the occasion of the film being screened there.
