House Of The Dragon Season 2 Double Trailer Breakdown: Everything Revealed & What You Missed – Part 3

4. Green Trailer – House Of The Dragon Season 2 Sets Up Aemond Vs. Daemon

The match-up many are looking to witness could be close at hand.

One of the more exciting teases of House of the Dragon season 1 was the brewing conflict between Prince Aemond and Daemon Targaryen. Both are classed as two of the better warriors in the show, with the Green trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 further teasing their clash. As a shot of Daemon is shown, Aemond can be heard saying “My uncle is a challenge I welcome, if he dares face me.” This only furthers the anticipation of the two finally crossing swords, something that may occur in House of the Dragon season 2.

3 .Green Trailer – The Cargyll Twins Fight On Two Sides

The brothers on either side come to blows.

In House of the Dragon season 1, Erryk and Arryk Cargyll were shown as two knights of the Kingsguard. Interestingly, despite being twin brothers, they fell on either side of the show’s conflict. Arryk supported Aegon’s claim, while Erryk pledged himself to Rhaenyra. In the Green trailer for House of the Dragon season 2, a brief flash of two Kingsguard knights fighting can be seen. It is safe to assume this is the two brothers, clashing over their beliefs.

2. Green Trailer – Further Hints At Blood & Cheese Are Tragically Teased

A funeral looks to be taking place in House of the Dragon season 2.

In the books, Blood and Cheese are hired by Daemon to kill Jaehaerys, the son of King Aegon and Helaena, in retribution for Lucerys’ death. In the Green trailer for House of the Dragon season 2, it seems as though the funeral for this tragic murder will take place. A group of onlookers in King’s Landing can be seen grieving, throwing petals at an unknown group. This is likely the royal family, grieving for Jaehaerys.

1. Green Trailer – House Baratheon Returns In House Of The Dragon Season 2

Another great house of Westeros will play a role in the brewing Dance of Dragons.

Just as the Black trailer teased a return of a familiar Game of Thrones family in House Stark, the Green trailer had an equally exciting familiar aspect. At one point, a warrior clad in yellow can be seen drawing their sword. On the front of their armor, a stag is painted, the symbol of House Baratheon. This hints that the Baratheons will have a larger role in House of the Dragon season 2, paying off a tease from its predecessor.

In the season 1 finale of House of the Dragon, Lucerys and Aemond were sent to Storm’s End to secure Lord Baratheon’s aid for their respective sides. Despite this, the Baratheons only appeared in a short scene, something House of the Dragon season 2 looks to change. With the Starks seemingly allying with Rhaenyra, it could be the case that the Baratheons join King Aegon II. Regardless, the involvement of more great houses in House of the Dragon season 2 has the desired effect as anticipation grows for the Dance of Dragons.
